Tijjani Reijnders, the Dutch forward who joined AC Milan on loan from Ajax in January, has been out with an injury since returning to Italy.

Reijnders suffered a knee injury during the club's training session in mid-March and was ruled out for several weeks. The Dutchman underwent surgery shortly after his return to Italy but he is yet to make his debut for the Rossoneri.

Reijnders, 24, has made just one appearance for AC Milan so far this season as he looks to recover from his injury. He scored twice for Ajax during their campaign last season, helping them win the Eredivisie title and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.

The loan deal between Ajax and AC Milan was announced in January and Reijnders was expected to make a significant impact in Serie A. However, his injury has thrown a spanner in the works and it remains to be seen when he will be fit enough to feature again for the club.

In the meantime, AC Milan have been relying on other players to fill the void left by Reijnders' absence. They have had success without him, winning two consecutive games against Sassuolo and Bologna, but they will hope that Reijnders returns soon and can add further depth to their squad.
